Handpicked from individually selected rows on our 300 acre estate. This cool climate Chardonnay was carefully crafted in the winery. Bunches were sorted and whole bunched pressed, prior to barrel fermenting in new French oak for eight months.This wine displays lifted aromas of ripe nashi pears and melon. The palate oozes an opulent, mouth filling mid palate showing honey with a hint of lime. This luscious, complex wine has wonderful acid balanced by an incredible softness. Drinking beautifully now but will continue to evolve for at least five years. Savour chilled on its own or enjoy as an outstanding accompaniment to chicken rich dishes, alternatively creamy pasta or risotto as vegetarian options.
