Tasting notes of winery's winemaker

servicio 16 – 17ºC.

This wine is named after the Arano sisters who married the Real de Asúa brothers, who founded CVNE in 1879, great great grandmother of the 5th generation of this family leading CVNE now a days. Arano sisters started a long line of women in CVNE, they are the symbol of elegance and delicacy.

WINEMAKING

Fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks with grapes from our Rioja Alta vineyards. The malolactic fermentation takes place in concrete deposits and afterwards the wine spends six months in American oak barrels, period in which the wine acquires the aromatic balance that characterizes it.

VINTAGE / HARVEST DESCRIPTION

We are facing a year of excellent quality in CVNE characterized by the absence of rainfall from May to October. The year began with a warm, dry winter and a rainy spring start. A month of August with temperatures above the average and without rain delayed the vegetative cycle but September arrived with some precipitation giving a respite to the plant and allowing a good maturation of the grape resulting a late harvest, of great quality and with an excellent sanitary status.

TASTING NOTE

Attractive wine with purple notes on a garnet background. On the nose we perceive aromas of red fruits such as strawberries and currants along with licorice touches interspersed with soft and sweet hints of sweet spices. Its entrance into the mouth is cheerful and its passage through the palate is marked by a young tannin. Long and fruity aftertaste. It is a wine to taste alone or to pair various dishes like vegetables,

meat, fish, etc. Service temperature 16 – 17ºC.
